My name is Michael and I am about to purchase a Skulltronix talking skull.
I am quite excited.
I am a theater actor and have founded my own theater company. I am also a Halloween enthusiast. I have made the usual Crank Ghosts and some of the other fun Halloween projects for my home and friends, but now I have found a perfect opportunity to combine my hobby and my work!
I have a project that could make very good use of these animated skulls. I wish I had enough of a budget to purchase two or even three. I will one day soon. But after looking through the site again, I think I will also add the optional lighting.
My only real worry is that VSA runs on Vista. I wish they had something for the Mac.
I am currently trying to workout my first purchase. I have gone through all the postings in the forums and still have some minor questions specific to my purchase. Mr. Jewell has been very patient in answering my questions.
I can't wait.

Hi MichaelW,
Yeah, being a die-hard Mac fan myself, I too was bummed that VSA only runs on PC.
That said, I recently purchased an Intel Mac, so now I have the best of both worlds. I use the software Parallels to emulate a PC on my Mac, and it works wonderfully. I've been writing the VSA routines all on my Mac ever since.
My two cents.

Yeah, I thought that that would be the solution. I am also going to install Bootcamp.
I am eager to hear from Skulltronix regarding my inquiry about the dimensions and the weight of the box the skull will be delivered in. It has to travel to Manila, Philippines and I need confirmation that the box can be accommodated as part of someone's luggage coming back.
Can't wait! He he he =) |

Hi Mike!
Finally got Parallels running on my Mac. I thought Bootcamp would be the easiest choice as there is already a kernel of it pre-installed on my Mac - but after a bit of investigation, Parallels won over Bootcamp. It's great in Coherence Mode!
I've now got the demo version of VSA installed and running on it with no problems. So now, I'm all set up for our DMX skull!
However, I haven't heard from Mr Jewell at all though. I hope that all is well with our purchase order and that we made the cut-off.
We're looking forward to hearing from you one way or the other. =)
Thank you!

Hi Michael,
Give Jerry a call at 916-600-2295. Where I prefer email, you tend to get a better response from Jerry via phone.
