I am trying to get a regular light to turn on and off using vsa and my DMX-4 dimmer.
I think i have figured out the dmx box....but the vsa is giving me trouble. When i try to get a light to turn on and off, i am finding that the light goes on about 5 seconds after i had it programmed it to go on and then it turns off on its own, when i have no events on the vsa timeline. Can someone walk me through the proper settings set up to get a light to turn on, then off when i want them to.
Thanks
Some of these dimmer packs have preprogrammed sequences in them, are you sure you have it set in DMX mode and not set to run a preprogrammed sequence? probably best to reread the manual.
VSA's DMX addresses are out by 1, whatever address you have set for the DMX device subtract 1 from it when controlling this channel in VSA, normal DMX addresses are in teh range 1-512, but VSA uses 0-511.
