Using Magic Motion in your own Props

When coupled with a SkullTroniX BoC the Magic Motion system can be used to control any servo operated props, or indeed without the BoC you can control any DMX devices.

In total the Magic motion can simultaneously control 3 axes from the head motion, plus a 'jaw' axis (however we find the sound to motion driver gives better results), two axes from the mouse and an RGB control for controlling either the eye lights on the BoC or a DMX RGB light fixture.

Configuration of each axis consists of telling Magic Motion the limits of freedom of each axis, the range of captured motion that you want the system to use to control this axis, and if necessary a maximum speed factor for that axis.

This combination of settings give you a wide range of options, for instance you could scale a prop head that move through 180 degrees to be controlled by a performer head motion of 90 degrees, a feature that can be quite handy if your performer is some distance from the prop, and you want to configure the system to make the prop look at the same point in space as the performer.

RECORDING MODE

Unless I am mistaken you said somewhere that your capture system will have the ability to record live and replay through vsa.
