Total newby here,

What is needed to run a set of speakers for your skulls. Is there a required interface needed or do they run directly off of a PC port? Eventually I would like to run everything off of a controller or eprom and free up the PC but that is budgeted probably many years away.

The recommended method of running a Skull is directly from a PC with a pair of PC speakers connected to the sound output port.

Running a skull from an EEPROM is not a possible, there is the Brookshires RAPU, but I believe they were problematic, and these days you can buy a cheap laptop computer for a similar price.

I would ask what you are otherwise using the PC for, PCs are great at multi tasking, and its quite possible to run numerous props from a single PC.
