Rev3 and DMXI love my Rev3 but would really like to run it via DMX. Are the Rev3 Skulls compatible with the new BOC?

It is possible to convert a rev 3 to DMX, but it does involve replacing the LED's and circuitry in the eyes as well as the servo control board. and then you will need to have all the servo parameters on the board set.
Best give Jerry a call, he will probably recommend that you send your skull in for conversion.

Yeah, Jerry mentioned upgrades were possible the last time I talked to him, however, didn't give many secifics as to exact cost or date when they would start doing them. Please keep us updated when more information becomes available.

I had the same request, he said send the skull in, he'll upgrade it for 200 and send you the new routines for the dmx (the ones you may have bought) at no cost. Very nice. I"m going to upgrade myself as I did have some usb port issues on my laptop a few times. This should solve that issue as well, plus give me more distance between the computer and the skull.

yes, the DMX skull only needs one USB port for the skull and DMX ligths and you have a max cable length of 1000', quite a lot better than 15' for a USB cable
