Price tag

Hey, i live in the uk, and the price is very expensive for me, but i am still interested in a skulltronix. I am wondering why the skulltronix is the same price as a small car? Thanks, Ben.

UK pricing is very much in line with the US pricing when you take packaging, duty and VAT into account, in fact its actually a little cheaper.

Hey

Hey, thanks. What makes the skulltronix so expensive though?
Phoenix

We don't think it is expensive,  Id be more interested in why your car is so cheap, don't expect customers who queue for 2 hours to be happy if all you have to show them is a clapped out Skoda.

The problem here in the UK is there is little opportunity to compare it with anything else, where in the US there are trade shows where the entire range of props available can be compared side by side, and the SkullTroniX skull stands out for its value and performance.

Each skull consists of 11 hand crafted plastic moulding which have been specifically designed to give the skull lightness and to make the working invisible to the viewer, these are hand moulded using a high strength plastic... not a cheap or quick process.

Each skull contains 6 quality servo motors, these are not the $5 motors you can buy from Hong Kong that burn out in 10 minutes, but motors selected for their speed, power and reliability, don't expect much change from £200 if you have to buy a new set of servo motors!

Each skull contains the BoC servo control board unique to SkullTroniX, one we specifically developed after a lot of problems using commercially available servo control boards. The problem with other control boards is whilst they do control your motors they do nothing to protect them, and servo burnout were commonplace, the BoC has been specifically designed to include features which reduce the many opportunities to accidentally destroy your expensive servos, and prolong their life.

The SkullTroniX skull can operate up to 1000' away from the control computer, again this is a feature of the BoC, USB boards are normally limited to 15' and serial are 75'

The SkullTroniX skull is the only animatronic prop that comes with an optional optical motion capture control system.

Nobody else features colour changing eyes with over 16 million colour options and gamma stable dimming.

Nobody else has come up with a neck design where all three axes are completely independent, every other design out there suffers from precession which means that when you move one axis you get a complementary  movement in a second or even third axis.
