Bri,
Also, i didn't see any camera's for the hat, for the visor, have they been eliminated?

There should now be 4 wires from the Skull Power DMX in, DMX out and AutoTalk
sounds like you connected the autotalk correctly... but if you have not connected the skull to the DMX chain then nothing will work.
The DMX in/out wires should connect to the cables in the DMX chain as per normal.
Ignore the jack socket on the camera, these cameras are designed for professional motion capture, and that socket is for a sync cable, which makes it possible to connect up to 24 cameras together and capture motion.
'Camera's for hat'???? there only ever has been the one camera, there should be a frame of tracking markers for the hat.

Bri,
First I want to thank you for being so quick on your remarks, one more stupid question if you will, there is another plug of some sore on the camera, does that go onto anything, I have it plugged into the pc that's it. Bri, something else, does this software also allow you to create your own dmx show for your personal routine, and do you need dmx to be hooked up to just play around with the skull, lastly, as far as motion, I don't want to hurt the servo's are they programmed to only turn and twist so much to protect them...
Thanks bro

The only thing you connect the camera too is the USB port, ignore the jack connector that is only for multi camera systems.
YES you can record with the software, make sure the 'Record Sound' and 'Record Motion' check boxes are checked. When you disconnect you can then playback your last actions immediately or Export the recorded sound and motion as a VSA file for later playback or editing in VSA.
You don't need the DMX lights to play about with the skull, but you do need to connect the skull to the Enttec box, and you do need to connect the Enttec box to the computer.
YOUR SERVOS ARE ABSOLUTELY SAFE, the system has two layers of servo protection built into it, the first layer is in the software where the limits are programmed, these settings are in the Axis Table, and the second layer is programmed onto the servo board inside the skull.... I spent 4 days at Transworld deliberately demonstrating that the systems was virtually indestructible
Also not that when the software cant see the required number of tracking markers it will power the servos down, this means that if the performer goes away and leaves the system running then the servos will shut down.

Bri,
Once again I apologize, how do you connect the enttec to the skull, and what are the two ribbon cables comming out of the skull..
Thanks

Jerry included a black ribbon cable that I am not using, where does this get connected to...
Thanks again

There should be a 5-3 pin converter which plugs into the Enttecs 5 pin socket.
You should have two cables with 3 pin XLR plugs on the end and plugs on the other end that match the ribbon cables coming out of the skull.... are tehse the black ribbon cables you are referring to?

Bri, do both sets of cables comming from the skull need to be plugged into the entcc box or just 1, so basically, 1 ribbon cable plugged into the box, another ribbon cable plugged into the light..is that right

DMX is a chain with each item on the chain having an address
At one end of the chain you have the Enttec box, at the other end you have a termination resistor.
In the middle of the chain you can have any number of devices, each device has an input socket and an output socket if you look closely at the lights, Skull, Enttec box and termination resistor and DMX cables you will see that its possible to connect these devices into a long chain. the order you connect the devices is unimportant.
Each device has an address, you can see the address switches on the back of the lights, and the Skull has an address which you cant see because its programmed into the BoCs software... and you can only change using the BoC configuration software.
t typical chain would be
Enntec-----LED LIGHT 1------Skull-----LED LIGHT 2------Termination resistor

So basically I can just keep the lights unplugged? I just want to play around with the skull for now, what would be the typical setup if I don't want lights...
Thanks bri

yes leaving the lights unplugged will work just fine, just plug one cable from teh skull into the Enttec box and the termination resistor in the other

Where would i find my software activation code?

Jerry should of sent you a 7 digit code, email me your cameras serial number and Ill look up what that code should be.

Bri,
when you are in the magic motion program where you can the the trackers from the hat, 2 of mine are white in color, one is gray, is that a problem? Is it seeing all 3..
thanks

bri also, sometimes when I seem to be holding my head sraight the skull is tilted and advise?

Firstly it may be possible that the motion tracking lost sight of the markers, when this happens there is no correlation between head and skull motion.
what has happened in this instance is the math got messed up and the trick to fixing this is to rotate your head so you are looking away from the camera then took back at the camera.
Another way to force the reset is to disconnect, shut the program down, look directly at the camera and restart the software, this will force the math to reinitialise, but its best to get the hang of the trick above.
Alternatively if the motion looks almost OK, and its just tilted and looking in the wrong direction try centring the system, hold your head straight and click the centre button and note the direction the skull looks, then you need to look at the same spot and click centre again.
