Does Exorcist pre-load routines? Will this software preload VSA routines and allow you to choose an order and run several routines back to back with little or no delay between them?

YES
Preloading routines is a critical feature, without this feature you would suffer many unacceptable seconds of delay from the moment you triggered a switch to the moment the routine starts.... especially on low spec machines.
Because the routines are preloaded they can be activated within 0.1 seconds of the activation of the trigger, routines can be sequenced, played simultaneously or assigned separate triggers.
The programming interface include timers which can be used to delay the start of a routine, or filter out noisy signals, and a programming interface that makes it possible to combine many switches or events to form potentially complex control sequences.
Its also possible to trigger two routines to start simultaneously, use of this feature blows away VSAs 64 channel limit, you want more than 64 channels just start 2, 3 or even 4 VSA routines at the same time.

SERVO AND LIGHTING BOARDSOk, how do you hook up your external servo boards and dmx lighting controls? do you use your pc ports or does the exercist have usb or other ports? Also your trigger devices, how do they all hook up? Can you have 8 different triggers in different places, and do they hook up directly to the exercist?

Servo boards DMX controls all connect to VSA via either a Com port or USB.
Exorcist doesn't control DMX or servos, this is all done by VSA, exorcist controls VSA and sound files.
When developing Exorcist we didn't set out to replace VSA, what VSA does is actually very good, and as such we made a package that built on the Strengths of VSA, and addressed its primary weakness.... no remote triggering.
Trigger devices plug directly into the Exorcist unit via a 3.5mm audio connector, Exorcist in turn connects to the computer via USB, no addition power connection is required its a self contained USB native device.
The only limit to the placement of triggers is the length of cable you use between the IO box and the trigger, and this is virtually unlimited. there is however the normal limit on the length of USB cable you use which is 16 feet, or 80 feet if you connect 5 cables using hubs.
