DMX lights only flashing blue/red?

My skull was updated to DMX this summer and I have it running thru a Rapu. The settings are 3,4,6,10 and 5,6,10 on the DMX lights. When the seance show runs all the lights do is blink on and off every second with blue/red on both lights. What is going on? Thanks Rick

Hi Halloween House,

Do you have the terminator plugged into the end of the DMX chain? (The terminator looks like a DMX cable's barrel connector, but with no cable coming out of it).

Double-check the DMX channel numbers. The one with 3,4,6 and 10, should be assigned to channel 40, and the one with 5,6, and 10 should be 48.

If those are right, disconnect everything but one light, so that there's one cable coming out of the Entec box and going into one light, then plug the terminator into the other similar jack in the same light. If that doesn't work, swap out the lower end of the cable (the end with the silver cannon plug) with one of the other similar cables and see if that improves things. If so, it's a bad cable.

If that doesn't work, swap out the cable that runs from the Entec to the light.

If none of that helps, give Jerry a call. Sorry that you're having trouble getting things up and running. I know how frustrating that can be.
