the Jaw motion capture check box in the software is only for optical capture of the jaw motion, this works very badly, so we resorted to the AutoTalk option, this works by sound.
You may want to try the optical jaw capture at a later date but its a lot harder to get the effect working well enough.
Does the Jaw move at all?
Is it fixed open or closed?
have you tried reducing the volume level on the computer?..... NOTE on computer not speakers
Is the relay in the skull turning on when MM connects?
Is the Audio jack COMPLETELY plugged into the AutoTalk Box and Y splitter?
Does the Jaw motion work correctly when you play a routine?

Bri,
Is it possible that the adjustment in the auto talk box is off because I haven't touched it..what does the internal volume of the pc hqave to do with a possible problem? thanks bri

All the AutoTalk Boards were bought here in the UK, and I personally tuned them ALL, to work with the SkullTroniX Skull, if the Skull works in a standard routine then it should work with the AutoTalk
The AutoTalk works off of sound level, that's why there is an audio cable going from the computer to the AutoTalk board, the louder the sound the more the jaw opens, it is volume sensitive, so if the AutoTalk is not responding enough the Volume level is too low, if its always open the volume level is too high, you need to set the computers volume level to a point where you get good jaw response, once you haev good jaw response you set the volume level on the speakers to give adequate sound level.
please read page 8 of the manual for more information

Seth, Not sure if you have the same skull as I do but I was told to plug the auto talk and the speakers into the Y splitter which then plugs into the RED input on the USB Sound card and the Mic into the GREEN input. Well for me that did not work I could not talk through the skull. When I put the splitter into the Green input and Mic into the RED input all works great.

oops Mic into RED is correct, just seen that I screwed up the colour coding on the picture!
