Add'l servo for use with DMX Skullis there some way to add control for an additional servo, controlled by the VSA software?
I want to have the hand of the skeleton doing something as the DMX skull talks...

yes the servo boards have 16 channels and only 6 of them are used, you could easily connect an additional servo to the board and control it with VSA.
If you have a REV 4 DMX skull with the BoC board then you may need the programming software to make sure the board is correctly configured.

Hi, Bryan, I don't know what rev it is, it's being delivered by UPS today...
Would that be a REV 4?
If so, where would I get the programming software you mentioned?
And what would I check specifically ?
TIA

OK, its a rev 4 skull if its just being delivered which means its got the BoC installed.
we don't normally ship the BoC programming software with skulls, you will have to aske Jerry about it, ask him what the default settings are for the unused channels, you may find that they don't need reconfiguring.

Thanks, Bryan
This was very helpful. I'm excited to have 10 extra channels to play with!

yeah, the Skeletron can feasibly be powered off of just one BoC, but two are used to simplify the wiring.
Whilst you do have the 10 extra channels bear in mind that you need to connect these to the outside world via the skulls neck, there is not a lot of extra space there, and you need to be careful that you dont cause the neck servos to strain against the extra cabling.... so take care, sometimes its more economical to just use a second servo board (you can have up to 32 before you need a DMX booster) rather than run the extra wires through the skulls neck
