Right now, i'm using a DMX relay pack to turn my non-dmx strobe lights on/off with VSA. Is there an easier (read: cheaper) way to do this other than with DMX? I have seen Parallax has a board you can fit with solid state relays to do this, but that seems way more advanced than I can handle.

I have used this board without a hitch. And very cost effective too.

Would that controller work with VSA? It looks like it runs off a parallel port. I'm looking to use this in my skulltronix seance routine, and need it to run off a USB port.

The Kit 74 does indeed run off of a parallel port.

Your skull has a number of spare servo ports, you could use one of these for a PWM relay and trigger the Strobe that way.

I don't know if all these relays can switch 115V but the Battleswitch certainly can
