Can you give us a better idea of your application?

Most of the components just plug into USB ports on the computer

Right, so you bought the skull and MM as a set...

so you have issues with the sound card.... I've not actually seen or used the sound card, it had to get added later because we found that some computer manufacturers disable the duplex function on their sound cards. but to connection should be the same for an on-board sound card.

Sound card sockets are colour coded green for mic, red for headphones.

The mic plugs directly into the mic socket and the splitter should go into the headphone socket giving you two headphone sockets.

You then plug your speakers into one of the two sockets and connect the autotalk box to the other using the patch cable.

The skull should have a wire from it which you should find will connect to the Autotalk box 3 pin connector... but is sounds like the box is has been fixed to the skull already so that should not be a problem.

Incidentally you may not actually need the sound box and could possibly use your computers sound card, but you will have to work out if and how the duplex mode works yourself, when we found that many new computers had the duplex/input monitoring mode disabled, and that each manufacturer had a different trick for doing the disabling we found ourselves with an unsupportable problem, Jerry added the sound card to the kit so at least everyone will have the same soundcard and we know how it works (at least jerry does)
