My magic motion program only records about 30 sec and then stops recording input from the hat.  My sound file is longer.  When I play it back the head stops and the sound continues on.  I think my test I did the sound file is about 46 sec long and the head stops moving after only 30.  I've done several tests and it always stops about 30 sec.  I'm using Magic Motion version 1.0.5.42779.  Thanks

Thomas

have you tried playback inside Magic motion?

Its been a while since I tested it, but I have done a recording half an hour long before I got bored.

I'm going to have to do a few more tests before I know if this is a software issue or not.

Ive just looked at the file you sent me and there was 52 seconds worth of recorded motion.

When making your recording make sure that no error alerts appear on the screen at any time, throughout the recording you need to ensure that the camera can only see the three tracking markers and at no point in time it loses sight of htese markers.

If you do find that you are getting messages appearing then you need to find out why, try adjusting the threshold and LED intensity settings, make sure there are no stray IR sources in the view, or indeed anything reflective (like glasses, jewellery etc)

I've done more tests and found that MM can still record much longer files than 30 seconds.

This points us back to your earlier sound Codec problems, I'm left wondering why your computer initially had problems recording and playing back sound files, and whether there is still on ongoing problem somewhere in the OS.

It may help if you try and remove and reinstall your sound card drivers, or go to the Toshiba website and see if there are any updated drivers available.

Also f you can try the system on another computer, it doesn't have to be anything particularly powerful, I tend to run it on a 1.5Ghz laptop.
