I wasn't quite sure where to ask about this, so I winged it... Will you be posting any clips of the Ghost Bust and SkeleTron in action? Also, how much do they cost? (Sorry if this is a dumb question.)
ghost bust is $1299 and skeletron is $2999 (minus skull) Im sure we will get round to posting videos of these products soon, they are currently both on show at Transworld and are geting a lot of positive attention _________________ Bryan Davis

ah...... well, it would be cool if the skeletron did, and indeed it is possible... however......
The problem is that a upper body motion capture system will need multiple cameras, this is because it is not feasible to place markers on the torso and arms in such a way that none of them will become occluded to the view of a single camera unless you place very strict restrictions on the motions of the performer.
A multiple camera system is in fact possible, however besides the increased hardware costs, there would also be a need for calibration of the cameras and maybe a need to identify which markers correspond to which part of the body.
This will make the system soooo much more complex and it will need calibrating and setting up before use, and where Magic Motion is a very trouble free package that can easily be used in any haunt situation, it becomes vary hard to see how a multiple camera set up could fit within all but very few professional haunts..... its more of a animation recording studio product.
But here is the real killer..... when you combine the increased hardware cost and the difficulty to use you have to concede that there will be a much smaller market, and because of the reduced market I would have to charge significantly more for the software in order to cover my costs, which will in turn reduce the market even more, and the price would need to be higher still..... ie whilst possible its actually not viable.
However..... lets just say that we are never short of ideas, and where the optical system is probably a non starter, there are plenty of other ideas..... which brings up the next issue, we have plenty of ideas, just not time time to pull them all off
