Hi Brian,
Using the exorcist with a floor mat that I purchased through skulltronix. It seems to randomly send a signal so it seems to be looped rather than triggered, ie the floor mat isn't working great. Any suggestions?

OK, just so I understand this....... if the floor mat is left alone it sends random positive triggers.... what happens if you disconnect the mat, does exorcist become stable?
Mat switches can be tricky, especially if you don't have them completely flat or put too heavy a rug over them, basically a mat switch is just two sheets of conductive material separated by some kind of spring... often foam.
If the mat is creating random triggers then its likely that the two conductive sheets are making intermittent contact..... or there is a problem with the plug.... or the plug isn't completely in the Exorcist Box....or.....
......Is it possible that you have the mat cable running alongside/crossing over an 110VAC or low voltage AC cable? running signal cables close to power cables is a real NO NO, the AC cables can induct a signal into the signal cable much like an electromagnet.
There is however a quick-n-dirty fix for flickering signals and thats to use a timer as a noise filter
eg
VSA 1 trigger:- Timer 1
Timer 1
Trigger:-Input 1 ON
Reset:- Input 1 OFF
dwell 2
This will mean that you will only get a trigger if the mat makes contact for more than 0.2 seconds, this should filter out most noise, you may have to play with the dwell time. _________________ Bryan Davis

Exorcist does become stable when disconnected - it was sitting next to the whole set-up, so I'll try moving it into it's actual position which will be away from any electricity. I think I understand what your trying to say - (I'm a little computer illiterate.) So, on the 1st page of Exocist - Trigger is Timer1 and Reset is whatever I want, but for me I'll use complete routine. On Timer page I put in what you have below which is essentially saying, if it stays on for .2 secs (or whatever I chose in there for dwell, ie 10 would be 1 sec.) I'll give it a try tomorrow and let you know.
Just to answer the other portions - it is completely flat - doesn't have anything over it yet (as it wasn't working without anything, but will likely put a black trashbag or the like to make it a little less obvious.) I think the plug is fine, but will try a different port (it was plugged in all the way.)
It will be sitting over radient heating, but I can't imagine that would matter as there is no electricity just water.
I'll let you know what works or worse if nothing does. (hopefully that won't happen!)

Alright - it seems to be a wire issue - of course I don't have time to return for a different floor mat - basically if I move the wire just right it triggers the routine... the mat is not responsive... I'll have to jury rig something...
Mat end - in the end I snipped the wire - it actually helped a lot to figure out the problem - inside there was copper wiring (insulation vs. ground?) a red and a white wire - the red and white wires were what was attached to the two ends of the mat - in reality the connection was the copper and the red that triggered the exorcist - who knew! Anyways - people had to open a door so I just made a connection at the door with the 2 wires and when it was broken it would trigger the prop. Unfortunately people sometimes left the door open, so it wouldn't trigger - o/w worked very well. What is the pin that is used to plug into the exorcist as I found my solution better than the floor mat?
