Has anyone here been successful in getting VSA to run on this VISTA system? If so, I am in real need to have an idiot's guide to making my Skulltronix run. I have set up an Administrator acct., I've shut off the UAC, and still gotten nowhere. I bought my skull a few months ago and immediately went out and got a nice shiny laptop to run it with. Little did I know it had the new VISTA system (idiots tend to buy things without knowing what they are!) and I've been fighting this system ever since. I'd really like to see the Skulltronix unit at work, but until I can get past this hurdle, I'm stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

well the good news is, that whilst we still dont officially support Vista, everything should run on Vista.

what exactly are your issues?

1) are you able to load and open VSA?

2) can you load your routine in VSA?

3) can you playback your routine in VSA without the skull connected such that you can hear sound?

4) when you start VSA with no skull attached what COM ports do you see available in settings

5) when you plug your skull into the computer what messages do you see regarding installing drivers?

6) if no messages when you open VSA WITH the skull already attached to the computer what COM ports do you see available in settings

Dont forget, if all else fails give Jerry a call, he will gladly help you get going
