I just received my SkullTroniX skull and hooked everything up to the computer. With the exception of some Vista issues with the VSA program (which I resolved) everything worked as expected and my skull is now talking away.  Very Happy

The next step is to get comfortable with the software and see how it controls the servo's and lights. One of the questions I have is if there is a guide on controlling the colors for the DMX lights and eyes.

When I play the seance routine everything including the DMX light (I only have one light running now as I was shipped the wrong power cable to the second DMX light) works just fine. When I load the template and try and get the DMX light to work I cannot. I'm sure it is because I am a noivce but I could use some guidance here.

Thanks,

Each RGB light (and eyes) have 4 channels they are

strobe/brightness
red
green
blue

The strobe/brightness channel serve two functions, a value from 0-127 is a strobe value, 127 to 255 is the brightness level

The three colour channels are easy they are 0-255 levels

Therefore to get maximum red you would need to set brightness to 255 and red to 255.

hope this helps

Yes it does thanks.

One  other question I am trying t make sure that I turn on and off the power values at the start and stop of a sequence but for what ever reason when I change the value to 1 at the end it does not tun the servos off.

I looked at the setting for the power on the template file and the seance and they are different.
The seance has:
DMX Relay   Addr. 7   + value 1   -value 0   default 1
The Template has it:
DMX Relay   Addr. 7   + value 1   -value 0   default 0

Which one should it be?

Thanks

For power the default should be 1
