I'm about to order the exercist and I was wondering what dmx to use to control color changing led spot lights. I've priced a few and they are expensive.

The DMX is handled entirely by VSA, have a look at the Enttec open USB interface, and Velleman do a USB interface kit. When you buy a SkulltroniX DMX lighting pack you get a DMX interface with the LED spotlights cables an all, its actually a pretty good DMX for newbies starter kit.
