I have just recently discovered VSA and SkullTronix. I LOVE your skull but it is way out of my price range.

Questions:

1. Can you put more than one Exorcist on a computer?

2. Can you put a motion sensor or a laser trip on Exorcist?
-- How would it wire up?

3. How does Exorcist handle the audio? I read the fourms about using Surround Sound but I have no experience with this.

4. Does Exorcist use the computers sound card?

5. How do I create a surround sound file?

Can Exorcist Pause a routine instead of just resetting it?

For example, you have a row of popup props where one pops up after another in sequence. You program this into one VSA routine. Then you could use a trigger to start, pause, start, pause until the end of the routine and then start over again.

1) currently there isnt an option to put more than one Exorcist on a computer, there are two possible future developments on this, firstly there is the 15 channel version of Exorcist and secondly there is room for expanding Exorcist to use more than one input box.... however, the more sounds, VSA routines and such that you try and run from a single computer then then more likely you are to have complications from multi tasking errors

2) absolutely yes, Exorcist has 8 dry inputs which make an input signal when the input contacts are shorted together, this means that just about anything can be used to make a trigger, however, if the trigger device passes a voltage them you may need to use a relay to interface between the trigger Device and Exorcist so you dont pass a voltage to the IO board.

3) Exorcist has 8 sound players which are actually remotes for Windows Media player, if you can play a sound using Windows Media Player then you can trigger it with Exorcist, window media player support 7.1 surround sound.

4) yup, and if you fit your computer with a 7.1 sound card then you get 8 audio channels, which can be used independently

5) last year I wrote some software which mixes a sound file to 7.1 enabling you to use a 7.1 sound card as 8 separate audio channels more info below.http://www.mordor.plus.com/Audio.html

6) nope no pause, its possible, and if there is demand then this may become a future feature, you could achieve your stated effect by writing up to 8 separate VSA routines, trigger the first, trigger the second etc
