As computers get faster and faster, some folks may notice a slight offset in the synch between the audio and the jaw movement on the SkullTronix skulls.

How tightly the synch is will depend on how fast and powerful your PC is.  If you have a speed demon, you may notice that the jaw precedes the audio by as much as 1/4 of a second.   (Of, if you have a real slug of a computer, you may notice the jaw lagging a bit behind the audio).

I take great pains to make sure every syllable of every word is precisely matched to the audio, so if you're skull's performance looks like a bad Godzilla movie, you'll want to shift the jaw commands over a few frames to get a nice tight synch.

It's easy to do.  Simply open up the VSA program on your PC.  Find the Jaw track, (usually Track 0, which is the top track in the routine).  Press the little Magnifying Glass icon in the top menu bar a couple of times to zoom in a bit so you can see what you're doing.

Right-Click anywhere in the area where Track 0's commands (rectangles) are displayed and choose "Select All (track 0 only)".   This will select all the command rectangles on that track, (and that track only).

Then, left-click on any of the command rectangles and slowly slide all the commands on that track to the right (if the jaw is opening too early), or left (if the jaw is lagging behind the audio).  Just move it three or four frames (you'll see the rectangles jerk to a new position for each frame you move them by).

Check your results.  Adjust if necessary until your creature is in perfect synch!

Mike
